This time, The Trout had the pleasure of sitting down with Rob McNelley, a musician whose resume reads like a hall of fame lineup. A three-time Academy of Country Music Guitarist of the Year, Rob has played with legends, shaped the sound of countless records, and now — he’s stepping out with a new single of his own, titled “Gone.”
In his conversation, Rob opened up about life in the studio, what it's like being the guy behind the guitar on some of Nashville’s biggest hits, and what inspired him to write and release “Gone.” He’s got stories, soul, and that unmistakable tone.
